Got the weather, calendar and music player plug-in working again. Just had to edit the sidebar.php file. Thanks for the tip Zesty. I no understand at first, now me do.

Going to Portland August 18-27, just booked my tickets tonight, can’t wait. Going to see my good buddy Tommy. Should be a good time to go up there and a good time to get away from the blazing hot Texas summer. Been a while since I’ve been there, but have had some good times there, so really looking forward to it.

Been a while since the last post, so here’s a quick update:

The weather is crazy, 85 last Thursday, 35 on Friday, back to 65 tomorrow. Been a little under the weather myself, chest cold I think. Roger has a new job and is gone two weeks, first to Houston then to Ohio. Making headway on ripping my CD collection to my hard drive I got for Christmas, probably about ¾ done, close to four thousand tracks so far, just waiting for my cd drive quit on me, that’s lot of spinning! My friend Missy from NY got engaged, congrats to her. Nascar started back up this weekend, so we watched the Daytona 500 Sunday. My laptop is crapping out on me, my RAM dropped by half and my processing speed went from 1.6Ghz to 800 Mhz, hopefully it’s covered under warranty. That’s about it for now.

Went to see Nashville Pussy last Monday in Denton, and they were incredible. Roger was nice enough to come with me and it just happened to be his sister’s birthday, and she lives in Denton, so we stopped by her house first. Her and her friend decided to come with us but only stayed for the first band, even after we paid for them to get in, 15 bucks a piece, wtf? But she’s a poor college kid who could barely afford to get in the club anyway, so cheap beer at the house appealed more to her. Anyway, it was Hailey’s club they were playing at and was worth the 45 minute drive from Dallas. Max Cady opened up, and they weren’t anything special, then Honkey took the stage, great band from Austin, a must see again, similar to Nashville pussy in sound, and energy. Then came Nashville Pussy, this was the 3rd time I’ve seen them, and had to be the loudest I’ve seen them, my ears were ringing a full 18 hours later. Very low turn out, but it was in Denton, and it was a Monday night, but the thing about NP is always put an a good show. Ruyter Suys is one of the best guitarists in rock and roll, she’s unbelievable. She’s very active on stage, one of those guitarists that can just play no matter what, wheather she’s on top of the speaker stack, or the shoulders of the bouncer (both of which she did). Crazy technical solos while jumping around, I don’t see how she can play without even looking down at the guitar. She always strips some part of her clothing off thru the show, sometimes even getting down to her bra and panties, but this night she just took off the shirt. Then at the end of the show she was down on her back going crazy, and ripped every string off her guitar one by one. It was a very late night, but well worth it, I picked up their new CD. We didn’t get home until 2:30, remember we had a 45 minute drive home, and I still made it to work at 7:30.

I changed the theme to random header image, so now everytime you refresh the page it changes images. They’re just images I found on google. I don’t know if I’ll keep the theme, as the weather and calendar plug-ins don’t seem to work with this theme. Does anybody really rely on those plug-ins?
