Well, last weekend was fairly eventful. Friday I didn’t do a damn thing, played some Socom II and went to bed, in anticipation of camping trip at Lake Texoma. The plan was to meet in Dennison at noon, so I got up early, and decided Roger should be up too. Hmmm…what to do, I KNOW, load the potato gun up with a sock and fire it into his bedroom. Scared the shit out of him and woke him up, mission accomplished (I know I will suffer payback, but it’s worth it.). Of course our friends are running late, and noon came and went, so while the spud gun is still warm lets have some more fun. Here’s a rundown of the conversation:
Roger: Let’s shoot a sock at each other.
Me: Uh..I don’t know about that.
Roger: C’mon, it’s just a sock, how bad could it hurt.
Me: Okay, but you go first.
( spud gun gets loaded and charged with hairspray, Roger is standing approx. fifteen feet from the end of the barrel)
Me: Ready?
Roger: Yea.
(KAAABOOOOOMMM!!! Roger instantly falls to the ground grabing his right kidney area)
Roger: IT HURTS, IT HURTS, OH GOD IT HURTS, AAAAAHHHH.
Me: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Roger: It feels like a rock hit me.
Me: HAHAHAHAHA!
We all meet up about two and head out on the road to Texoma, about a forty five minute drive, we make it there no problem. We get the tents set up, toss the football around a little, throw some chilli and beans on the fire, then proceed to playing yard darts. We bought two hula hoops to act as targets, and put a beer can in the middle. Hit the beer can you drink it, that never happened though. As what probably happens in all Yard dart games it becomes throw the darts at the opposing team, I wonder why they banned this game it’s so much fun.
I walked down to the beach after that and got a few pictures. Then ate some food, and headed out to the local watering hole called The Hitching Post. There was five of us and maybe three other people in there, but it was free Jukebox night, and the bartender was really cute. The beer in Oklahoma is Three-Two, that being 3.2% ABV. which sucked, but it was cheap, about a dollar. We stayed there for a while and then headed back to camp.
On the way back to camp Roger rode in the back of the truck, and his hat flew off, so we make a u-turn making sure to use the whole road and both ditches on either side (we were in a 4X4). Roger gets out to get his hat and starts to climb into the truck, gets one leg hooked over the tailgate and we floor it. He falls out onto his back and hurts the back of his knee and smacked his shin on the trailer hitch, but he’s alright.
When we get back everyone pretty much crashed out except me a Roger, so we head down to the beach. Keep in mind it’s 2 am and it’s freaking hot out still, we realize the beach sand is really cool, so we decide to sleep on the beach. I slept for about two hours before we feel the bugs biting us then we head back to the tents and fall asleep for good.
The next morning we pack up and head home.
